About 16,400 Rhode Island Energy customers were without power in Rhode Island, following strong thunderstorms. According to the power outage map, there were 148 “active” outages as of 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning, June 27th. The most affected areas include Glocester, Cranston, Cumberland, and Foster.
